Last Flag FAQ
Game:
- What kind of game is Last Flag? Last Flag is a 5v5 capture-the-flag 5v5 shooter. In each match, you and your team will need to find the sneakiest possible hiding spot for your flag, and then work together to find and steal the enemy team’s flag.
- How many contestants are there? We will have 9 unique contestants at launch, each with a signature style, powerful abilities, and an outrageous personality. We also plan to add new contestants to the game for free over time after launch.
- Are there classes? No. While some contestants may excel in different areas, we strive to ensure each one has a versatile skillset. Last Flag does not have a strict class or role system, so players are free to choose any contestant they like
- Will I respawn if my contestant dies? Yes. When your contestant’s health runs out, you will enter a downed state for a short time. While downed, your teammates can revive you to bring you back into the fight. If you aren’t revived in time, or if an enemy approaches and performs a finisher on you, you will be sent back to the respawn room (called the “Green Room”). You will have a respawn timer lasting up to 15-seconds before you respawn and can exit the Green Room to rejoin your team on the map.
- How many maps are there? To start we’ll have two large playable maps. We plan to bring additional maps to the game over time for free, with a new one planned for release later this summer.
- Is there a tutorial? Yes. When launching the game for the first time, you will be prompted to enter the Training Gym, found in the Play Menu. There, you will play through a brief tutorial to learn the core mechanics of the game. Following the tutorial, you can continue to an “Audition Match,” where you play with a few human teammates against a team of player bots. After completing the Audition Match, you will be able to join the Quickmatch queue, as well as create or join lobbies, to play with and against other human players.
- Will the rewards I earn during February’s Open Beta be available after PC launch? Yes, all of the cosmetic items you earn during the Open Beta from February 9 - March 2 will be added to your account permanently.
- Will you reset progression at PC launch? Yes. Your account level and the XP you’ve earned during playtesting of Last Flag’s progression system will be reset on launch day. However, any cosmetic rewards you earned during February’s Open Beta will remain in your account permanently.
- How long are matches? Matches typically last 10 to 15 minutes, but never longer than 20.
- What options are available for in-game communication? You can use text chat to communicate with teammates and party members, as well as send direct messages to players on your friends list. In game lobbies and during matches you can also communicate with your team using voice chat.
